Dandy Design

Dandy is a 32 inch stallion who is convinced he stands 9 feet tall. He causes people to break out in huge grins wherever he goes. Dandy is built like a draft horse trapped in a tiny body. Recently a bus pulled over when they saw Dandy being walked down the sidewalk. The bus driver asked if he could come into the bus to meet an elderly man who was in a wheelchair. We decided to give it a shot. Dandy walked up the bus stairs, no questions asked and brought tears to the gentleman’s eyes. He knows when to stand very quietly and allow someone to hold him or when to turn on the charm and provide entertainment.

Bobbi Ann

Bobbi is a registered Percheron Mare. At Happy Little Horses, Bobbi’s nickname is Golden Girl because she is as good as gold. Bobbi occasionally visits schools and impresses children and adults with her giant hooves and equally giant heart.

Enchanted Melody

Melody is a extraordinarily kind, loving soul. She brings warmth to every room she enters and particularly enjoys her visits to classrooms and her interactions with kids. She is very much a lady in demeanor and always knows who in a crowd needs some extra love.

Simon

Simon is a registered Friesian Sport Horse. He has a naughty streak that keeps us all laughing. He knows how to open stall doors and gates and should have probably been named Houdini. He thinks he should be the center of attention at all times and enjoys playing with people and the miniature horses on our property.

Hanka

Hanka is our latest edition. She was born on September 24, 2012. At five months old, she has already learned how to lead, wear sneakers, and entertain adults and children of all ages with her vibrant personality. When people meet her, they say that maybe unicorns really do exist.

Linet Samson

Happy Little Horses was founded by Linet Samson. Linet attended University of California, Davis California where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Genetics and a Master’s Degree in Business and Animal Science. She recently received Project Management Certification as well as pet handler certification. Over the last 12 years Linet has worked in the medical industry in various capacities ranging from service representative to hospitals for medical equipment, administration of a medical practice, and physician liaison work. Linet started Happy Little Horses to combine her life-long passion and love of horses with her medical business background to reach out to people in an innovative way. “When I saw how I could touch people’s lives by bringing the horses to those who are in need either emotionally, mentally or physically, I realized I had a way of combining all of my skills to positively impact people in my community. To say that I feel honored that these little horses allow me to bring them places to work their miracles is barely enough to describe how I feel when I watch them interact with someone who is isolated, alone, sick, or just in need of some love in their lives.”
